The 21st International Conference on Japanese Language Education in Malaysia (ICJLEM 2024) marks a significant milestone in the field, showcasing the continued efforts to advance Japanese language education. Jointly organized by the Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur, and the Malaysia Japanese Language Instructors Society (MAJLIS), this conference has evolved into an essential platform for educators and researchers since its inception in 2003.
This year's theme, "Leading the Way to the Future of Japanese Language Education: Humanity & AI," reflects the growing intersection between technology and language education. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into educational practices, the conference encourages participants to explore the potential of AI in enhancing teaching methodologies, while also emphasizing the importance of maintaining a human-centered approach in language learning.
